The charge is too high and should not be allowed to rise by 100%!
My wife has to use the bridge to go to work, each weekday and this will make a big difference to her travelling costs.
The bridge over the Thames near Eynsham is just 5p, so how can Whitchurch justify 40p?

The toll bridge is a public service for the local community and a necessity for many.
Price hikes like this are a cheap and easy buck for the owners and are seriously damaging to the local community, especially during a recession.
In a time of economic turmoil like the present the council should act on behalf of their citizens and take action!

I’m really shocked that the company can make a committment to a public enquiry, undertaken in the name of the secreatry of state, and then simply renege upon it a few months later with apparent absolute impunity. What a load of charlatans.
